HVAC Instructor (CTE teacher Aspire Trade High School)

Job expectations include, but are not limited to:

• Instruct HVAC courses, incorporates appropriate industry-recognized certifications and training, and works toward achieving the high-quality elements of an HVAC technician.
• Instruct students in appropriate job-seeking and retention skills
• Provide instruction that is appropriately paced and directed to specific occupational skills while accounting for individual differences in ability, motivation, and learning rates
• Establish and maintain a suitable learning environment that promotes student growth and skill mastery, and assures student safety
• Guide students in making career-related decisions
• Establish and maintain student/program files as required
• Support the policies and programs of Aspire Trade High School and perform assigned duties consistent with school and board policies, regulations, and procedures
• Effectively communicates with staff, parents, and agencies
• Attend regular and special staff meetings and actively participates as a member of the educational team
• Create and maintain a safe learning environment

Certification/License

• North Carolina State Certification not required
• Industry specific certifications preferred

Education

• A minimum of 3 years full-time experience working in the HVAC industry

Aspire Trade High School offers a competitive salary that is determined by an individual's education and experience. Full time employees will also be part of the North Carolina State Employees Retirement and Health Care system.
