Role: Chemical Operator
Number of positions: 2
Location: Grafton, WI 53024
Onsite: 5 day per week
Shift: 6PM - 6:30 AM
Duration: contract to hire
Hourly Rate: negotiable

In this role, you will:
- Learn and understand common chemical terminology and processes; reflux, distillation, layer separations, filtration, in-process testing, melting point, flash point, vapor pressure, density, boiling point, filtrate
- Learn to operate and troubleshoot equipment; fixed reactors, filters, pumps, vacuum pumps, dryers, glassware, chillers, mills
- Learn how to properly collect and submit various samples for quality analysis
- Learn how to; properly weigh and scale operations, review batch records, inspect equipment, drum and package material, understand purging, follow labeling procedures
- Understand and maintain plant documentation; batch records, cleaning protocols, equipment use logs, equipment status tags and labeling systems.
- Perform other related duties as may be reasonably assigned in the course of business.
Qualifications and background to be successful in this role:
Required
- Willingness to work a 6 PM – 6:30 AM
- Willingness to train on Days or nights
- Bachelors Degree
- Must be able to lift minimum of 50 lbs.
- Advanced math skills
- Ability to follow agency manufacturing guidelines – FDA, DEA, OSHA, etc.
- Communication skills
Preferred
- Knowledge and understanding of plant documentation such as batch records, cleaning protocols, equipment use logs, equipment status tags, and labeling systems
- Associates or Bachelors degree
- Prior chemical experience
- Education, experience, location and tenure may be considered along with internal equity when job offers are extended.
