Job Description:
Apex Systems is seeking an experienced Construction/Facilities Project Manager to oversee capital construction projects, including a transformative expansion project! The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in managing construction and facilities projects from inception to completion.
Job Title: Construction/Facilities Project Manager
Location: Wilkes-Barre Scranton, PA (Onsite 1-2 days a week)
Job Type: 6-12 Month Contract
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage and oversee all aspects of capital construction projects, including a nearly $900 million expansion project.
- Coordinate with contractors, architects, engineers, and other stakeholders.
- Ensure projects are completed on time, within budget, and to the required quality standards.
- Conduct regular site visits to monitor progress and ensure compliance with safety regulations.
- Prepare and present project reports to senior management.
- Resolve any issues or conflicts that arise during the construction process.
Requirements:
- Proven experience as a Construction/Facilities Project Manager.
- Strong understanding of construction processes, materials, and legal regulations.
- Excellent organizational and leadership skills.
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Proficiency in project management software.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with capital construction projects.
- Relevant certifications (e.g., PMP, CCM) are a plus.
Project Details: The expansion project will nearly double the size of the hospital, adding a new 11story patient tower and increasing capacity for emergency medicine, critical care, trauma care, surgical services, and advanced cardiovascular programs. The project will encompass approximately 600,000 square feet and is expected to significantly enhance healthcare delivery in northeastern Pennsylvania.
