Please review the following job description:

Candidate will be tasked with building out and managing a department relating to premium finance governance and controls working in conjunction with functional Truist GCO partners and AFCO subject matter experts. Candidate will be a business process owner for governance and controls including TPRM Vendor management and business unit owned processes. Candidate will also build out and lead the business unit managed third party vendor process for insurance agents and brokers. The candidate will also work closely with AFCO senior leadership including AFCO Premium Finance Risk Execution & Enablement Leader and AFCO Chief Operating Officer in managing and reporting on governance and control issues. In addition, the candidate will review and collaborate on audits, procedures and controls and work on special projects relating to same.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Following is a summary of the essential functions for this job. Other duties may be performed, both major and minor, which are not mentioned below. Specific activities may change from time to time.
1. Management of LOB department tasked with reviewing, tracking and reporting on governance and controls issues.
2. Monitoring the risk related to the assignment and execution of third party risk management activities.
3. Build out new LOB vendor management program for insurance agencies and brokers.
4. Ensuring that risk management activities align to the TPRM Policy, including development, maintenance, and distribution of risk related reporting to TPRM Program stakeholders.
5. Managing the integrity of the Supplier Master Inventory and providing standards for centralized service management.
6. Lead the LOB and provide training on the implementation of Business Unit Managed Third Party Program requirements.
7. Manage system of record (ARCHER) to support overall technology strategy for third party and vendor risk management.
8. Manage efforts of the LOB and other risk areas in the development and implementation of risk and governance policies, procedures and processes and related controls to minimize risks.
9. Work alongside Risk, Execution and Enablement Leader in the management of regulatory examinations and internal audits, as requested.


QUALIFICATIONS
Required Qualifications:

1. Bachelor’s degree in Business and/or Risk/Compliance related field, or equivalent education and related training
2. A deep and well-rounded experience in working, preferably in the financial services industry
3. Excellent verbal and written communication and interpersonal skills, and the ability to communicate and interact with all levels of management
4. Independent thinker with strong analytical skills and the ability to make decisions
5. Ten years of financial industry and leadership experience.
6. Must be independent and able to work unsupervised
7. Deep project management experience.
8. Experience with governance and controls technology including Archer and Clarity.
9. Demonstrated proficiency in basic computer applications, such as Microsoft Office software products

Preferred Qualifications:
1. Operational and regulatory knowledge of financial institutions (e.g. banks, loan companies) as it relates to governance and controls as well as third party vendor management.

The annual base salary for this position is $150,000.

This position has the option to be remote.
