Job Summary
The Cyber Threat Detection & Response (CTD&R) Intern position is intended to provide exposure to various functions, security tooling and activities focused on intelligence gathering, threat hunting, detection engineering and incident response. The CTD&R Intern will be tasked with a range of responsibilities that provide real-world, hands-on experience with security tools to detect and respond to threats.
Job Responsibilities
- Responsible for the early stages of threat detection by identifying threats at the first phase of an attack or compromise.
- Detects threat actor activity including exploitation and risk to critical systems.
- Monitors specific cyber threat actors to understand their tactics and techniques.
- Conduct basic threat intelligence operations in support of threat hunting.
- Support threat hunting and detection engineering activities with senior team members.
- Develop reports for technical and non-technical audiences.
- Assist the incident response team with day-to-day operational activities.

- Currently enrolled in a Bachelor’s degree program with 2 semesters remaining upon start date
- Completed coursework in Cybersecurity, Computer Science or relevant program.
- Experience communicating via written reports and presenting the information in a formal or classroom setting.
- Experience collaborating with teams
- Basic level skill in Microsoft Office Suite (Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, Excel).
