Job Description:
We are seeking a Data Engineer to join a dynamic and growing team. As a Data Engineer, you will be responsible for building and maintaining systems that collect, manage, and transform data into actionable insights. You'll work with large volumes of data from multiple sources, ensuring that data flows smoothly and is accessible for key business decision-making.
In this role, you will:
- Establish Database Systems: Design and implement database management systems (DBMS), standards, and guidelines.
- Data Planning: Develop and maintain capacity planning, data loading, and data maintenance strategies.
- Database Design: Document and communicate database designs, ensuring alignment with business needs.
- Program Development: Code complex programs and define logical processes across technical platforms.
- User Interface Design: Assist in designing user interfaces and business application prototypes.
- Quality Assurance: Participate in the testing and quality assurance process to ensure database deliverables meet required standards.
- Collaboration: Work closely with business analysts, developers, and systems engineers to adapt business requirements and develop data specifications, ensuring they align with the organization's needs.
- Data Relationships: Determine how tables relate to one another and ensure optimal field organization within the relational model.
Required Qualifications:
- Education: Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or related field (PhD, Master's, or equivalent experience can be considered as an alternative).
- Experience: A minimum of 10 years of directly relevant experience in data engineering, including comprehensive experience in database management, system design, and data modeling.
- Technical Skills:
- Strong experience with database management systems (DBMS), relational models, and data flow optimization.
- Proficiency in programming languages (e.g., SQL, Python, Java).
- Experience in data loading strategies and security policies.
- Ability to design and develop scalable data solutions.
- Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, Azure) is a plus.
- Additional Requirements:
- Ability to work independently and lead data-related initiatives.
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to translate business needs into technical solutions.
