JOB TITLE: Data Engineer

LOCATION: Irving, TX, and hybrid role, may work from home.

DUTIES: Perform systems integration design and development in cloud architecture design using Azure. Build sizing and cost models for Cloud Services. Review enhancement requests and recommend best solution to stakeholders. Responsible for containerizing ingestion processes using Docker and Kubernetes services. Understand business requirements to design, build, develop and test data integration pipelines using data warehousing and data engineering. Plan and direct DevOps implementation and system hardware and software updates for better performance and stability. Work on business intelligence (BI) dashboards to support retail stores and the Azure artificial intelligence (AI) platform that runs the personalized consumer experiences. Use SQL, Python, Distributed Computing, Cloud Computing, Data-Bricks, and Apache Spark. Use software and big data tools including Kafka, Spark and Hadoop. Work with relational NoSQL and SQL databases workflow management and pipeline tools including Airflow, Stream-processing systems like Spark-Streaming. Build and optimize data sets, 'big data' data pipelines and architectures. Perform root cause analysis on external and internal processes and data to identify opportunities for improvement. Work on unstructured datasets.

REQUIREMENTS: Bachelor's or foreign equivalent degree in Computer Science, Data Engineering, Information Technology, Business Analytics, or a related field, and 4 years of experience in the job offered or as a Machine Learning Engineer, Business Analyst, or in a related/similar position. Experience therein to include 4 years of experience in data warehousing and data engineering. 4 years of experience using SQL, Python, Distributed Computing, Cloud Computing, and Apache Spark. 4 years of experience using software and big data tools including Spark and Hadoop. 4 years of experience with relational NoSQL and SQL databases workflow management and pipeline tools. 4 years of experience building and optimizing data sets, big data pipelines and architectures. 4 years of experience performing root cause analysis on external and internal processes and data to identify opportunities for improvement. 4 years of experience working on unstructured datasets. Hybrid role, ability to work from home.
