JOB SUMMARY
Director of IT Systems Integration and Transformation is responsible for planning, developing, and implementing information technology (IT) solutions for Baylor Scott and White Health (BSWH), which may include new and existing applications, systems architecture, network systems, enterprise-wide systems, computer operations, information security, service management, and telecommunications. Leads system design, analysis, programming, installation, configuration, quality reviews, and user acceptance of BSWH software, hardware, and systems technology. Directs the development and analysis of business requirements, system specifications, and system integration considerations to determine appropriate IT solutions for BSWH. Establishes and directs IT strategies, initiatives, programs, policies, processes, procedures, and standards to meet the IT needs of the organization in accordance with BSWH business objectives. Identifies, recommends, and implements changes in software, hardware, and systems technology in collaboration with various BSWH departments and leadership. Assesses and directs the IT function and develops plans for improving IT solutions through increased efficiencies to achieve desired service, security, and cost levels. Develops functional plans for managing IT resources, including activities to be performed through third-party relationships to best manage the BSWH IT systems. Provides guidance on high priority IT projects, information system integrations, IT industry trends, and current and future IT investments needed to support BSWH business objectives and future growth.
A system Director translates and implements strategic plans and objectives for area of responsibility. Makes final decisions on operational matters and ensures achievement of objectives. Recommends policies and organizational changes for area. Plans and executes projects and initiatives that meet annual objectives. Erroneous decisions at this level tend to have negative impact on the success of the area, business unit, and possibly the overall organization's operations. Plans and directs the operations of a department or area, with responsibility for staffing, processes, budgets, and costs of the unit. Leads and advises subordinate(s) to meet schedules, resolve technical problems, and monitor performance. Has a larger, more complex organization or functional area than a manager. Often has one or more managers or supervisors reporting to the role.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS OF THE ROLE
* Lead the strategic planning and execution of IT infrastructure integration and innovation initiatives.
* Oversee the design, implementation, and maintenance of robust IT infrastructure systems.
* Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless integration of new technologies and systems.
* Drive innovation by identifying and implementing cutting-edge technologies to enhance IT infrastructure.
* Manage and mentor a team of IT professionals, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and innovation.
* Develop and manage the IT infrastructure budget, ensuring cost-effective solutions and resource allocation.
* Ensure compliance with industry standards, regulations, and best practices in IT infrastructure management.
* Monitor and evaluate the performance of IT infrastructure, implementing improvements as needed.
* Establish and maintain strong relationships with vendors, partners, and stakeholders.
Key Success Factors:
* Experience in supporting healthcare hospital systems a plus/
* Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field; Master's degree preferred.
* Proven experience in IT infrastructure management, integration, and innovation.
* Strong leadership and team management skills.
* Excellent problem-solving and analytical abilities.
* In-depth knowledge of current and emerging IT infrastructure technologies.
* Experience with budget management and financial planning.
* Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
* Ability to work collaboratively with diverse teams and stakeholders.
* Certification in relevant IT infrastructure and project management methodologies is a plus.

QUALIFICATIONS
- EDUCATION - Bachelor's or 4 years of work experience above the minimum qualification. Master's preferred.
- EXPERIENCE - 5 Years of Experience
