Description:Join Our Team as a Part-time FPGA Design Engineer where you will work on the development of a sophisticated state-of-the-art avionics product in a world class Integrated Product Development environment.

What does this role look like?
We are looking you work for the Central ASIC & FPGA Engineering organization on a program, part-time as needed.
Key activities you will accomplish in this role:
* ASIC/FPGA design and verification system architect for space products
* Integrating ASICs/FPGAs in complex system.
* Lead a large team of engineers in all phases of engineering lifecycle from design through production and sustainment.
* Serve as FPGA/ASIC Subject Matter Expert (SME) and support the Chief Engineer and Chief Systems Engineer in making sound technical decisions.
* Serve as an advocate for the product throughout its lifecycle, from requirements definition through mission operations
* Participate in developing and executing critical development program key reviews such as System Requirements Review (SRR), Preliminary Design Review (SDR), System Design Review (SDR), Critical Design Review (CDR).
To be effective in this role, you will need:
* 20+ years of professional experience for this role.

Basic Qualifications:
* Bachelor of Science or higher from an accredited college in Electrical Engineering or related discipline, or equivalent experience/combined education.
* Proficiency in ASIC & FPGA design using VHDL, Verilog, or System Verilog languages.
Desired Skills:
* Expert in FPGA design life cycle from requirements through integration (architecture, design, simulation, verification, validation, integration & test).
Security Clearance Statement: This position requires a government security clearance, you must be a US Citizen for consideration.
Clearance Level: Secret

Ability to Work Remotely: Part-time Remote Telework: The employee selected for this position will work part of their work schedule remotely and part of their work schedule at a designated Lockheed Martin facility. The specific weekly schedule will be discussed during the hiring process.
Work Schedules: Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.
