JOB SUMMARY

Provide engineering support to maintain the controls and information system and the Process Safety Management system. Create and implement new processes.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES -

Maintain the Ignition software.
Maintain the PLC program, database and Information Systems for production PLC's.
Troubleshoot hardware, software, and instrument problems.
Design, test, troubleshoot, and oversee implementation of new processes. Design and install retrofits to existing systems.
Create and implement new strategies and new automation processes to improve process efficiency.
Maintain quality assurance on the control systems in manufacturing.
Maintain the controls for facility equipment.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

Education

Bachelor of Science In Chemical Engineering, Biomedical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering or Electrical Engineering.

Work Experience

At least 2 years experience with instrumentation & controls in a manufacturing environment.

Knowledge/Skills/Abilities

Experience identifying operational issues and recommending and implementing strategies to resolve problems.
Experience using time management skills such as prioritizing/organizing and tracking details and meeting deadlines of multiple projects with varying completion dates.
Position requires work on extended and /or "odd" or "on call" hours as business needs dictate.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

Certification / Licensure -

Professional Engineering License.
EIT (Engineering in Training) completion.

Knowledge/Skills/Abilities

Proficient in Allen Bradley RSLogix 5000, RSViewSE, Vantage Point, Historian, SQL.
