Job Description BAE Systems is seeking an Engineer Technologist Senior tasked with creating machining programs and work packages for intricate defense system components. The ideal candidate will possess a thorough understanding of both manual and CNC machining operations and the capability to work autonomously on extensive projects. Applicants should have an in-depth knowledge of machining, set-ups, programming, tooling, and the ability to post and simulate for machine tools. Position will require to work in conjunction with multiple departments, such as Safety, Quality, Design, and Planning, to enhance manufacturing processes and achieve production objectives.Required Education, Experience, & Skills
Pay Information
Full-Time Salary Range: $86460 - $146982
Please note: This range is based on our market pay structures. However, individual salaries are determined by a variety of factors including, but not limited to: business considerations, local market conditions, and internal equity, as well as candidate qualifications, such as skills, education, and experience.

- High School Diploma with 6+ years experience, Associates Degree with 4+ years experience, or Bachelors Degree with 2+ years experience
- 5+ years in a machining and manufacturing environment
- 3+ years CNC programming in CAM software, preferably Siemens NX
- Knowledge and usage of Vericut software
- Problem-solving skills to troubleshoot and fix issues that may arise during the production process
- Ability to read and interpret complex drawings, including GD&T
- Competent understanding of programming for Siemens 840D Power Line and Solution Line along with, up to and including, Fanuc 31i controllers, preferably
- Capable of programming 3 axis mills and along with multi-axis vertical and horizontal lathes
- Support in process production needs
- Maintaining a safe and clean work environment by adhering to safety procedures and regulations
- Troubleshooting operational capabilities
- Perform Root Cause analysis
- Develop and implement Process Improvements
- Proficiency in selecting or creating tooling and fixturing to support manual and CNC machining
- Ability to organize, create, optimize, or document detailed processes routings to support complex machining operations in a challenging environment
- Skills and knowledge to define and select proper tooling to support machining operations
- Ability to program multiple head configurations a plus
