We're looking for a field technician for a temporary, entry-level position in the South Region of Puerto Rico. Initially, this position will focus on supporting our Leak Detection Technicians.  Eventually, it may include learning the process of locating leaks in water distribution systems and performing those tasks as part of a team.

Initial responsibilities include:

• Assisting with field tasks such as locating water infrastructure, clearing vegetation, and removing lids
• Supporting other field activities as needed
• Reading and interpreting maps
• Assisting with general maintenance of equipment and tools
• Learning procedures for locating and pinpointing leaks in a water distribution system using specialized acoustic and digital equipment
• Entering data and preparing reports using tablets, GIS applications, and Microsoft Office applications

Most of the work will be performed during normal working hours; occasionally, you'll need to work at night or on a weekend. This position will be located throughout municipalities along the South Region of Puerto Rico.  The expected project duration is 3 to 4 months.

• Fluent in English and Spanish
• Plumbing background or experience preferred
• General ability to work with hand tools
• Able to perform strenuous field work
• Ability to stand or walk for long periods of time in all weather conditions
• Valid driver's license
• Excellent driving record
• Computer skills and familiarity with tablets, Word, Excel, or similar products
• Self-motivated, enjoy working independently, self-starter, organized, and enjoy being self-directed

The budgeted salary for this position is $15-$20/hour USD. Actual pay will be based on experience.

This role will be 100% in person in the field at different locations throughout the South Region of Puerto Rico.
