Key Responsibilities:

* Provide individualized financial aid counseling to current and prospective students and their families.

* Assist students with the completion of the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) and other required documentation.

* Analyze and verify financial aid applications in compliance with federal, state, and institutional regulations.

* Determine student eligibility for financial aid programs and prepare award packages.

* Conduct financial literacy workshops and presentations to educate students on budgeting, loan management, and scholarship opportunities.

* Collaborate with Admissions and Enrollment Management teams to support recruitment and retention initiatives.

* Maintain accurate and up-to-date student records in compliance with institutional and regulatory requirements.

* Stay informed of changes in financial aid regulations and best practices to ensure compliance and effectiveness.

Qualifications:

* Bachelor's degree in a relevant field (e.g., Finance, Education, Business Administration) required.

* At least 1-2 years of experience in financial aid, higher education, or a related field preferred, but not required

* Strong knowledge of federal and state financial aid regulations and processes.

* Proficiency in financial aid management systems (e.g., Ellucian Colleague) and Microsoft Office Suite.

* Excellent interpersonal, communication, and problem-solving skills.

* Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
