Summary
A successful NetApp Global Technology Specialist (GTS) works collaboratively as part of a virtual sales team to design solutions that meet and exceed customer requirements. This role has a broad scope of responsibility and requires a solid understanding of business and technology strategy.

Responsibilities
Customer Obsession
- Make the customer's business objectives at the heart of everything you do. Be an expert on the customer's business strategy and understand how NetApp's solutions can help with the customer's journey
- Lead efforts to develop new customer relationships outside of NetApp's traditional buying centers
- Own, manage and develop key customer technical relationships, including at the executive level
- Proactively advocate for your customer with NetApp Product Management and engineering so that NetApp solutions meet their requirements.
Team Selling/Leadership
- Orchestrating virtual specialist technical teams to work on customer opportunities while holding them accountable
- Lead the technical delivery by motivating and inspiring all resources involved in delivering the customer's success.
- Display the ability to trust your teammates by allowing technical specialists to manage opportunities within your account.
- Work collaboratively with your virtual sales team to develop a Technical Account Plan that aligns with customers' business strategy.
- Focus specialist technical teams on opportunities that will increase NetApp's footprint in the account.
Technical Curiosity
- Challenge the mindset of customers and NetApp Sales teams by bringing innovative ideas that showcase NetApp's unique value.
- Differentiate yourself by being both an industry and technical specialist
- Understand not only current technology but future technology trends that will impact your customer
- Working architectural knowledge of the entire NetApp portfolio to effectively map NetApp products/solutions to customer business problems.
Requirements & Education
- 8+ years in a pre-sale's role
- Bachelor's Degree
- Location:Northeast US(New Jersey, New York or in our near Philadelphia)
Preferred:
- Storage or Pharma experience

Compensation:
The target salary range for this position is 206,000 - 267,000 USD . The salary offered will be determined by the candidate's location, qualifications, experience, and education and may be outside of this range. The range is based on 'On Target Earnings' (OTE) representing the total potential earnings, which is the sum of the base salary and potential commission earned when performance targets are achieved. Final compensation packages are competitive and in line with industry standards, reflecting a variety of factors, and include a comprehensive benefits package. This may cover Health Insurance, Life Insurance, Retirement or Pension Plans, Paid Time Off (PTO), various Leave options, employee stock purchase plan, and/or restricted stocks (RSU's). These offerings are subject to regional variations and governed by local laws, regulations, and company policies. We will provide detailed information about the specific benefits for your region during the recruitment process.
