Position Summary
Under the direction of the Grant Manager, the Grant Coordinator will assist with managing the Metropolitan Airport Commission's (MAC) grant portfolio. The duties assigned to this position include submitting reimbursement requests, tracking and submitting progress and closeout reports, and helping prepare application materials for both FAA and non-FAA programs. This position is also responsible for keeping grant data current in the designated system of record and assisting with process improvement and procedure documentation.
The ideal candidate is self-motivated, able to work independently, exhibits strong financial acumen, detail-oriented, and possesses excellent critical thinking and time management skills.

- Assist with preparation of programmatic and closeout reports for assigned grant programs.
- Evaluate change order and purchase order eligibility on federally funded projects
- Maintain files and other record keeping systems, assist with process improvement.
- Oversee the submittal of direct costs for reimbursement, including maintenance and operations grants.
- Prepare monthly reimbursement summary reports and grant balance reports.
- Prepare, in coordination with Finance and the Grants Manager, annual audit work papers for grants.
- Assist with reconciliations between grant revenue accounts and projects. Act as a centralized grants hub for all areas of the organization.
- Collaborate with other departments on research, application requirements, grant details and other items necessary for the implementation of a grant.
- Act as a resource for other MAC departments for grant services. Serve as a technical specialist for various tasks relating to organizational wide grant opportunities.
- Keep abreast of grant trends as they relate to aviation.
- Keep MAC staff and external partners informed of grant deadlines and reporting requirements.
- Assist with grant CIP formulation, ensure information is aligned with the 7-year CIP and MAC plan.

Minimum Requirements
- Associates degree or higher and two years of progressively responsible experience in grant program administration and compliance
- In lieu of a degree, four years of progressively responsible experience in grant program administration and compliance
- Knowledge of the principles, terms, procedures and practices of grant administration, including familiarity with cost and qualitative analysis techniques, research principles, information systems and applicable regulations and laws
- Knowledge of grant seeking and grant reporting
- Strong financial acumen
- Knowledge of finance, accounting, budgeting and internal control procedures
- Strong administrative skills with the ability to manage projects, set priorities and manage multiple tasks in an effective manner
- Experience analyzing financial data and preparing basic financial reports, statements and/or projections.
- Intermediate skill level using Microsoft Word, Outlook and PowerPoint
- Advanced skill level using Microsoft Excel
- Experience analytically evaluating and organizing detailed information into concise written reports and correspondence using proper business vocabulary and grammar
- Basic skill level using Adobe (combining pdfs, editing, converting file types, etc.)
- Working knowledge of airport operations/aviation industry
- Knowledge of accounting principles and practices of business and public administration
Other Information
This position provides an opportunity for on-site and remote work. MAC's remote work policy requires employees to be on-site three days of the week. Among the three on-site days, one of them must be either a Monday or a Friday.
