Are you interested in an Internship opportunity with Philips? We welcome individuals who are currently pursuing an undergraduate (BS) degree to participate in 3 month paid intern opportunities at our site in New Kensington, PA. Through this role you will gain meaningful, hands-on experience working for a HealthTech company.
Your role:
- Assist in design history file update activities such as requirements generation, dFMEA, and identification of critical to safety/critical to quality deliverables.
•Assist the Systems Engineering team in developing and analyzing medical device requirements, architecture, and design.
•Support risk management activities, including hazard analysis and failure mode assessments.
•Participate in usability impact assessments and design reviews to improve product performance and user experience.
• Compile and analyze data to support mask and CPAP machine designs/updates. Use critical thinking to identify the strengths and weaknesses of alternative solutions, conclusions or approaches to problems.
You're the right fit if:
- You are pursuing a Mechanical Engineering, Bioengineering, Software, or Electrical/Computer Engineering
- • Solid basic computer skills including MS Office Suite
- • Good communication and presentation skills for reporting project status
- • Knowledge of CAD (Pro-E), FEA and CFD, software desired but not required
- You must be able to successfully perform the following minimum Physical, Cognitive and Environmental job requirements with or without accommodation for this Production/Assembler position.

Onsite roles require full-time presence in the company’s facilities. Field roles are most effectively done outside of the company’s main facilities, generally at the customers’ or suppliers’ locations.

Philips Transparency Details
The hourly pay range for this position is $25.00 to $28.00, plus overtime eligible. The actual base pay offered may vary within the posted ranges depending on multiple factors including job-related knowledge/skills, experience, business needs, geographical location, and internal equity.
