Job Summary
This position requires an ambitious individual with a well-rounded set of technical, project management, analytic and strategic-thinking skills. This position would be in the Marketing Sciences group, which is part of the Sales and Marketing Organization at Comcast, located in Philadelphia, PA. Overall, the selected individual will support the Media Strategy and Sciences team to guide the marketing strategy to achieve and grow performance, optimize media and message mix allocation, and to assist in data management and collection. This position will work closely with the Media Sciences team to transform media mix model results into actionable insights and communicate to business partners. It also includes the collection and validation of relevant data and business context for building models, as well as evaluating models to ensure quality business use. As the role interfaces with various stakeholders, the individual will also be a skilled, polished communicator.Job Description
Core Responsibilities
- Assist in all Comcast Business model results, analyses and optimizations
- Utilize existing model outputs for specific focus areas such as: Cross Channel, Income Constrained, Corporate Reputation, Multicultural, Olympic, Partnerships
- Project manage day-to-day tasks including data collection, validation, requirements gathering, context and business direction to inform model inputs, media optimization cadence and ongoing analyses
- Perform quality checks on media mix models to ensure model validity and business sense
- Inform and align media strategies/planning by providing forecasts, analysis and direction on media mix effectiveness
- Guide forecasted trends across traffic drivers, products, sales channels and regions, and identify opportunities for driving business growth
- Monitor competitive spending and provide reporting and analyses
- Ad hoc analyses as needed to drive specific recommendations on media spending
- Consistent exercise of independent judgment and discretion in matters of significance.
- Regular, consistent and punctual attendance. Must be able to work nights and weekends, variable schedule(s) as necessary.
- Other duties and responsibilities as assigned.
Qualifications:
- BS or BA with at least 2+ years of previous work experience (preferably in media, marketing and analytics); additional experience and/or Master's Degree a plus
- Ability to handle multiple assignments and meet tight deadlines; excellent project management and organizational skills with attention to detail
- Strong work ethic with the ability to adapt to the situation, be flexible and nimble in terms of work planning, and the ability to think quickly on your feet
- Advanced skills in Excel, Powerpoint; as well as data visualization tools, including Tableau, Datorama, Power BI
- Experience with cloud based platforms such as AWS to store, process, and manage complex datasets a plus
- Knowledge of media metrics, statistics and econometric modeling a plus
- Familiarity with Comcast and the cable industry not required, but extremely beneficial
