About the Team: The Service Fulfillment & Assurance (SFA) platform team is responsible for enabling services to customers, including High-Speed Internet data, Voice, Video, and Home security LOB(S). The platform supports different capabilities to provision and activates services. It leads the complete lifecycle of the fulfillment procedures, including back-office and fallout management. This software developer will be joining our team focusing on the platform side of our software development team. We use numerous cutting-edge technologies including: AWS: Lambda, Kinesis, SNS, SQS, Cloudwatch Cloud Foundry Java, SpringBoot, In-House frameworks Docker/Kubernetes Cloudformation/Terraform/Serverless Concourse/Github Actions Co-pilot AI/ML Development and AutomationJob Description
What You'll Do:
Scope and Complexity:
Exercises independent judgement to evaluate and resolve problems of diverse scopes and escalates complex issues where analysis of the situation requires in-depth evaluation and judgement.
Thought Leadership:
Acts as a key contributor, technical resource, and cross-functional liaison on new software and web application planning and design.
Assists in representing testing and automation frameworks and methodologies to senior leadership and external engineering teams.
Leverages technical knowledge and stays up to date on industry innovation and technical developments to evaluate new frameworks for automation solutions.
Participates in strategic conversations to define software strategy and security practices.
Responsibilities:
Architect and design scalable solutions that deliver robust and effective back office platforms to provide seamless experience to Customers.
Partner with other architects to define the technical strategy for our fulfillment back office architecture
Establish best practices, coding standards, and architectural patterns
Mentor and guide development teams in implementing complex systems.
Collaborate with product managers and designers to translate business requirements into technical solutions
Evaluate and recommend new technologies and frameworks to improve our tech stack
Drive technical decisions that balance innovation with maintainability
Develop automation for software services and operations.
Works with Quality Assurance team to determine if applications fit specification and technical requirements.
Required Skills & Experience:
5+ years of Java experience, including advanced patterns, state management, and performance optimization.
2+ years of experience with public cloud services such as AWS.
Strong understanding on the AI/ML would be added advantage
Strong understanding of complex architecture principles and design patterns.
Proven track record of building large-scale, component-based applications.
Bachelor's degree in relevant field or equivalent experience.
Preferred Skills and Experience:
Experience with Java and Spring boot frameworks
Strong experience writing software that can engage with and consume data from other systems using APIs and SDKs
Experience with AWS services and cloud architecture
Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and GitHub Actions
Experience in handling operational issues and training..
Advanced proficiency in back office system development and architecture
