The BAE Systems site in York, Pennsylvania is seeking a Quality Engineer in support of Combat Mission Systems operations on the 3rd Shift. In this role as a Quality Engineer, you will develop, modify, apply, and maintain quality evaluation and control systems and protocols in a fast paced, heavy manufacturing environment. This position is responsible for ensuring requirements are met throughout either the fabrication or assembly processes on the AMPV Value Stream.

Please note: This position supports the 3rd Shift, 10 PM to 7:30 AM, on a 9/80 schedule.

Required Education, Experience, & Skills

Typically requires a Bachelors degree in an engineering or technical discipline with at least two (2) years of related experience, or the overall equivalent;
Requires a solid understanding of Quality Assurance / Quality Control fundamentals and principles;
Experience operating within ISO 9001 standards;
Strong background in problem solving techniques and analysis (A3, DMAIC, etc);
Proficiency in standard and industry related software including Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint and database applications;
Highly effective written and verbal communication skills;
Able to support 3rd Shift.

Preferred Education, Experience, & Skills

ASQ certification;
Experience working in a quality program in support of government contracts, preferably DoD;
Formal training in root cause analysis;
Experience implementing APQP in a low-rate, technically complex product environment;
Experience with TipQA software.

Pay Information
Full-Time Salary Range: $70735 - $120250

However, individual salaries are determined by a variety of factors including, but not limited to: business considerations, local market conditions, and internal equity, as well as candidate qualifications, such as skills, education, and experience.
