Position Overview:

Shields Health Solutions is looking to hire a Senior Analyst, reporting to the Manager of Financial Analytics. This role is high impact, visible, and has a single-mandate to create shared ROI for all stakeholders. This role will focus on using data to shape business strategy, inform key decisions, and provide actionable insights to executives and key stakeholders that influence strategy development and organizational growth. This role will provide significant visibility across the organization and play a critical part in aligning data-driven insights with business objectives.

The ideal candidate will have experience in driving high impact projects, is a capable communicator, will have worked with large and complex data sets, is a self-starter, demonstrated independent ownership of workstreams to execution, and is highly adept with Tableau, Excel and PowerPoint

Representative Job Responsibilities and Duties:

  • Collaborate with cross-functional leaders to identify key initiatives and provide data-driven insights that influence the company’s long-term business direction, ensuring alignment with broader business objectives
  • Monitor market and industry trends, providing strategic insights that inform business growth opportunities, competitive positioning, and new market strategies
  • Leverage data to uncover opportunities for business growth, efficiency improvements, and operational optimization
  • Develop reporting frameworks that capture business performance, ensuring that the data provided supports high-level strategy and long-term objectives
  • Regularly present data insights to organizational leaders, acting as a trusted advisor on data-driven decision-making and performance optimization
  • Create and maintain technical documentation for systems, reporting, and data, while troubleshooting and resolving issues in collaboration with business teams
  • Support team and organizational goals as needed

Skills and Position Requirements:

  • 3+ years of experience in analytics consulting, management consulting, healthcare consulting, investment banking, or private equity
  • Exceptional analytical skills, with the ability to turn complex data into actionable insights that influence executive decision-making and strategic planning
  • Strong background in strategic communication, able to present complex data in clear, concise ways that inform high-level business strategy
  • Entrepreneurial attitude - willingness to roll up his/her sleeves and work alongside staff to make things happen quickly.
  • Must be highly motivated, results-driven professional who can thrive in a team-oriented environment
  • Highly Proficient Excel and PowerPoint skills, preferably experienced in complex data modeling
  • Growth-oriented and positive and problem-solving mindset
  • Highly analytical with strong attention to detail; methodical thinker, able to deduce and communicate relevant information from data
  • Effective at multi-tasking; someone who enjoys and thrives wearing multiple hats at once, seeks exposure to different perspectives, and learning new skills
  • Customer service oriented, flexible and adaptable with proven ability to solve problems in a collaborative manner with strong ability to influence
  • Experience in Tableau Desktop and SQL a plus

Education:

  • Bachelor’s degree in business, finance, economics, data science, or related field (STEM focus is a plus)
  • Advanced degree a plus

Location:

  • Boston Based role with Hybrid Schedule (1-3 days in office in Stoughton, MA)
