As part of our Research, Insights and Analytics team, the Senior Insights & Analytics Strategist, Public Opinion and Polling Insights is responsible for both qualitative and quantitative research projects with a focus on public opinion polling and development efforts.
Job Overview
This position serves as a key contributor on the team in a broad range of marketing research and analytics activities. A successful candidate will have a background in insights and reputation management and will have experience consulting on polling requests, establishing polling methodologies, writing and vetting questionnaires and discussions guides, performing data analysis, presenting results to large groups and working cross-functionally to implement insights into action.
Employees in this role are expected to work with a high degree of initiative and independence in anticipating client needs, building relationships and developing solutions that further the business objectives and ensuring their successful implementation.
Job Duties & Responsibilities
• Collaborates with business partners to develop an insights roadmap that aligns with key priorities
• Creates and standardizes approaches for identifying & quantifying public opinion trends in communications nation-wide
• Recommends and manages custom research methodologies such as focus groups, in-depth interviews, surveys, text analytics, polling and customer sentiment analysis
• Produces and presents work in dashboards, presentations and recurring reports that advise and inspire internal partners to action
• Crafts strong stories that are inclusive of several types of data sources including behavioral data, qualitative and quantitative studies, and syndicated research to shape full stories of consumer and market driven data
• Uses a broad research toolset, including an understanding of complex research methodologies and the ability to execute DIY research projects
• Shares recommendations to business partners
• Effectively manages multiple vendor relationships
Required Qualifications
• Bachelor’s degree in related field
• 5+ years of relevant experience is strongly preferred
• Proven knowledge and experience managing the full market research cycle
• Familiarity with qualitative and quantitative research methodologies
• Familiarity with reputational tracking agencies such as Harris Poll, Public Onion Strategies, Echelon Insights, IPSOS Corporate Reputation Management or others
• Strong analytical skills with proven ability to interpret data and link insights to brand growth opportunities
• Experience with customer insights and analytics tools (survey programming software, secondary research databases, etc.)
• Ability to communicate all analyses, findings, conclusions, and recommendations to marketing and operating stakeholders
