Senior Technical Project Manager
Summary
Plans, coordinates and actively manages and establishes the Design delivery plans of technical solutions across multiple technical products. Manages and reports regularly on the end-to-end plan that is inclusive of all of the changes needed to a given technical product in support of initiative outcomes.
Primary Duties & Responsibilities
- Accountable for project management of an individual medium size imitative/project with high complexity.
- Accountable for managing scope, schedules and quality, including the monitoring of day-to-day progress, execution, management and closure within the approved scope.
- Measure and report on project performance using appropriate tools and techniques that are compliant with Company approved methodologies & tool sets to help with the successful completion of short and long-term goals.
Knowledge, Skills, Abilities:
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience
- 3-5 years of project management experience in technology, product & software development and/or business functions.
- PMP certification a bonus but not required
- Experience with project management methodologies and tools
- Understands how software is developed, tested and implemented as well as technical concepts.
- Ability to work closely with engineers, product managers, designers and business leaders.
- Experience managing large scale, cross-functional initiatives using a variety of delivery methodologies (i.e. waterfall, agile, lean, scrum, etc.)
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel and Gantt
- Knowledge of Jira and Jira Align is of high interest but not required
- Strong analytical, communication and problem-solving skills.
- Intellectual curiosity and a desire to dig into details, learn, ask questions and become the "go to expert" on certain concepts
- May lead teams or projects with moderate resource requirements, risks and or complexity
- Solves problems in straight forward situations, analyzes possible solutions using technical experience and judgement and precedents
- Impacts the direction and resource allocation for program, project or services; works with general department policies and industry guidelines
- Explains difficult or sensitive information; works to build consensus
