Northrop Grumman's Chief Information Office is seeking a Software Development Analyst to administer and maintain Mechanical CAD and CAE applications within unclassified and classified networks supporting Roy, UT and Redondo Beach, CA.
Candidate can be located in either Roy, UT or Redondo Beach, CA.
Responsibilities include, but not limited to:

• Provide end-user support of Mechanical CAD and CAE engineering software included in the Engineering Systems Pool (ESP).

• Provide system maintenance, license management, software installations, upgrade deployments, operations support, test support, and system troubleshooting while meeting software compliance standards.

• Monitor, address, and resolve software production environment incidents, service requests, workflows, client install packages, etc.

• Document all aspects of support such that knowledge is readily shared among all those tasked supporting software within the Mechanical CAD and CAE group.

• Maintain strong expertise and knowledge of current and emerging mechanical CAD and CAE applications, products and technologies.

Basic Qualifications:

• Bachelor's Degree in a STEM discipline preferred from an accredited university and 2 years of related experience or a Master's Degree in a STEM discipline and 0 years of experience, or 4 years of related experience with an Associate's Degree OR 6 years of related experience with a High School Diploma.
• Must possess and maintain or be able to obtain a DoD Top Secret Security Clearance.
• Must possess and maintain or be able to obtain TS/SCI
• Must possess and maintain or be able to obtain Security+ CE Certification within 6 months of start date.
• Experience with Windows and experience (or willing to learn) Linux Operating Systems.
• Experience with Server/Client installations.
• Experience with application administration.
• Must work well with others in a professional setting regardless of skillsets.
• Strong communication skills across various technical disciplines.
• Ability to understand and work with mechanical engineering software such as NX CAD, NX Nastran, FEMAP, Ansys Mechanical, Abaqus, AMESim, etc.
• Must be able to work in the office as this is not a work from home or hybrid position.
Preferred Qualifications:

• Possess a current Security + Certification.
• Possess a current DOD Top Secret Security Clearance.
• Possess excellent written communication and interpersonal skills.
• Experience as an End User for mechanical engineering tools such as NX CAD, NX Nastran, FEMAP, Ansys Mechanical, Abaqus, AMESim, etc.
• Experience as an application administrator for system engineering tools such as NX CAD, NX Nastran, FEMAP, Ansys Mechanical, Abaqus, AMESim, etc.
• Experience with software license administration. (eg. FlexLM)
• Basic knowledge of scripting used for software installations, launching analysis jobs, etc.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Work well under pressure and adapt well to unplanned tasks.
• Ability and willingness to continuously learn and implement new processes.
• Dedicated to teamwork and be ability to work well in a team environment.
Salary Range: $77,200 - $134,200
The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.
Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.
