JOB TITLE: Software Engineer

LOCATION: Irving, TX

DUTIES: Design APIs and develop shippable code. Responsible for documentation, and unit test new features for digital products.Work with API Developers, Team Leads, and Architects to deliver features through the creation of re-usable RESTful APIs. Collaborate with Quality, Product and Cloud Engineering teams to keep digital assets fully functional, secure, and up-to-date with business needs. Perform pair programming, effectively communicate ideas with the team, assist in systems integration, and conduct performance testing and product releases. Implement policies, roles, and data access controls. Monitor events, and resolve system and data issues for continuous functioning of APIs. Mentor junior developers through work product review, and help with design, development tools and development best practices. Work with various tools and technologies, including Node.JS, Java, Cloud, Git, Jira, Web Technologies including JavaScript, CSS, HTML, functional programming, REST APIs, logging framework, third-party libraries, No-SQL, SQL database, Cloud Services, unit testing, and Unit Test Framework.

REQUIREMENTS: Bachelor's or foreign equivalent degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Information Technology, or a related field, and 5 years of progressive, post-baccalaureate experience in the job offered or as a Software Engineer, Software/Application Developer, or in a related/similar position. Experience therein to include 5 yearsof experience in software development working with Node.JS, Java, Cloud, Git, and Jira. 5 years of experience with Web Technologies including JavaScript, CSS, HTML, functional programming, REST APIs, logging framework, third-party libraries, No-SQL, SQL database, Cloud Services, unit testing, and Unit Test Framework.

In lieu of a Bachelor's degree and 5 years of progressive, post-baccalaureate experience, employer will accept a Master's or foreign equivalent degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Information Technology, or a related field and 3 years of experience in the job offered or as a Software Engineer, Software/Application Developer, or in a related/similar position. Experience therein to include 3 years of experience in software development working with Node.JS, Java, Cloud, Git, and Jira. 3 years of experience with Web Technologies including JavaScript, CSS, HTML, functional programming, REST APIs, logging framework, third-party libraries, No-SQL, SQL database, Cloud Services, unit testing, and Unit Test Framework.
