The BCH Rehab department is looking for a speech-language pathologist to join our team! We are a collaborative group of physical, occupational, and speech therapists who seek to provide excellent and compassionate patient care.
In addition to being a great team member with a patient first approach, the ideal candidate will evaluate and provide evidence-based treatment for speech, language, voice, cognition, and swallowing in a critical access hospital setting that includes inpatient and outpatient populations. This position is primarily pediatric (outpatient) based, with opportunities for adult outpatient and inpatient services as well.
Job Duties/Responsibilities: Select, administer, and interpret appropriate evaluation tools for patients. Synthesize patient provided information with clinical data to make appropriate diagnosis and establish treatment plans. Document clinical data, observations, progress, and response to therapeutic interventions in evaluation, treatment, and discharge notes to support plan of care, billing, and other recommendations. Modify treatment interventions to accommodate age, skill, and level of patient needs. Provide education and counseling to patients/caregivers, within the scope of speech language pathology, to support patient outcomes.
Qualifications: Masters Degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program. Current Nebraska Speech-Language Pathology license (or temporary license). ASHA Certification (CCC or CF). CPR Certification. Valid Drivers License
Shift Schedule: Full-Time, Monday-Friday flexible 32-40 hours per work week, daytime hours
