Job Summary
The Senior ServiceNow Administrator will be responsible for the configuration and administration of solutions within the ServiceNow environment. They will provide technical insight in designing and supporting ServiceNow while aligning to Service Management standard methodologies. They will work with ITSM (IT Service Management) team members, internal customers, and external vendors to design, configure, test, document, and deploy system changes to the environment. This role is very client/partner focused and the incumbent will consult with staff to identify areas of improvement and will implement technical solutions to increase automation and efficiency.
Essential Functions
- Create, configure, customize, and mature the ServiceNow platform through development of catalog items, record generators and orders. This includes data imports and extractions to/from ServiceNow, UI pages, UI Macros, Script Includes, and Formatters
- Build workflows from ServiceNow owner requirements, including requesting items and tasks. Gather specifications from service owners, document requirements, and deliver product releases to meet business needs
- Assess and provide technical expertise to design and roadmap ServiceNow
- Manage CMDB health by using discovery (or equivalent methods) to support Assets and Configuration
- Work with MID servers, web services, email, and other relevant technology to integrate tools with the ServiceNow platform
- Perform daily administration, create views, maintain reports and dashboards as needed to illustrate service performance and demonstrate business value
Required Qualifications
- BA/BS Degree (4-year) Information Systems, Computer Sciences, or related technical field.
- 4-6 years of related work experience in a lead/specialist role implementing and maintaining ServiceNow Platform making key design and roadmap decisions
- Experience working with Azure AD/LDAP
- Experience with Agile Methodology
- Foundational knowledge of the ITIL framework, and IT Service Management
- Active in the ServiceNow community, including having attended Knowledge events, user group meetings, and participating on discussions in the ServiceNow online forums
- Excellent organizational and project management skills, including ability to organize time and work on multiple tasks and follow through to completion of task or project
- Must be able to work independently to perform work assignment, as well as in a team in a fast-paced environment
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills including high degree of attention to detail and accuracy
- Candidate must possess strong interpersonal skills, written and verbal communication
- Ability to work in a rotating on-call schedule, different shifts, and extended hours as needed
- Deep knowledge and experience working with various tables, fields, views
- Information Technology Infrastructure Library (ITIL)
- ServiceNow Certified System Administrator
Pay Scale: $115,800 - $125,000
