Job Duties:
The selected candidate will perform the Systems Architecture Section Manager role, which is a dual-hat Engineering Manager responsible for both section management (15 - 20% of time) and existing program responsibilities (80% or more of time). Along with reporting into a program, the Section Manager is also a member of the Mission Engineering and Operations (ME&O) System Engineering (SE) organization with responsibilities to perform resource planning and staffing; employee engagement, staff development, including skills training and career support; performance management, including employee goal setting, quarterly reviews, and issues resolution. The Section Manager is also responsible for the deployment, measurement, and improvement of tailored, lean SE processes and procedures and supporting product cost reduction strategies. The Section Manager will support and implement activities supporting departmental initiatives, reporting directly to the Systems Architecture Department Manager. Sections will have up to 15 people. The selected candidate should thrive in a fast-paced work environment with high expectations, significantly diverse assignments, collaborative/team settings across all levels.
Basic Qualifications:

• Bachelor's Science degree in STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Math) discipline with 8+ years of engineering experience OR Master's Science degree in STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Math) discipline with 6+ years of engineering experience

• Active DoD Top Secret and/or SCI clearance required.

• Prior experience as a manager or a team lead.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Systems Architecture background in one or more of the following technical areas: Functional analysis, CONOPS, Orbit analysis/Orbit Determination, MBSE, or Thread Engineering
