Our client is seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Compliance Project Manager with a strong background in privacy and security to ensure our organization adheres to applicable privacy laws, security regulations, and industry best practices. This role will be responsible for suggesting compliance programs related to disaster recovery, data protection, cybersecurity, and regulatory requirements. The ideal candidate will work closely with internal teams to mitigate risks, establish policies, and ensure ongoing compliance with frameworks and relevant standards.
Responsibilities:
- Suggest and develop privacy and security compliance programs to align with applicable regulations and industry standards.
- Monitor and assess regulatory changes, advising stakeholders on the impact of new privacy and security laws.
- Conduct risk assessments and audits to identify compliance gaps and develop remediation plans.
- Conduct critically exercise to identify systems at risk and properly align resources
- Collaborate with multiple teams to ensure the protection of sensitive data and regulatory adherence.
- Refine and update security policies, privacy notices, data handling procedures, and incident response plans.
- Assist in driving awareness on privacy, security, and regulatory requirements.
- Coordinate with multiple teams on compliance efforts.
- Review past security incidents to develop framework for providing recommendations for corrective actions.
- Maintain records and documentation required for audits and regulatory reporting.
Experience:
- Background in Information Security, Law, Business, or a related field (or equivalent work experience).
- 5+ years of experience in privacy, security, or compliance roles.
- Strong knowledge of data protection laws and security frameworks (e.g., GDPR, CCPA, HIPAA, SOC 2, ISO 27001, NIST).
- Experience conducting risk assessments, audits, and compliance reviews.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with strong attention to detail.
- Effective communication skills with the ability to work cross-functionally and provide compliance guidance.
- Strong program management skills
- Familiarity with privacy-enhancing technologies and cybersecurity best practices.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
The target hiring compensation range for this role is $104 to $116 an hour. Compensation is based on several factors including, but not limited to education, relevant work experience, relevant certifications, and location.
