ABOUT THE ROLE:
Honeywell's Building Automation is hiring a User Experience Intern for our Automation Software products. We are looking for someone who is passionate about the full UX design lifecycle from dissecting the problem to creating the final designs. You'll be paired with a mentor and work closely with them to advance your skills.
Key Responsibilities:
- Actively engage with your team and other key stakeholders of the product in order to clarify and address key business/customer goals.
- Assist with user research and analysis, user feedback sessions, and usability testing.
- Work with the team to design, implement and verify user interfaces for massively scalable programs and applications.
- Participate in the iterative design process.
- Translate research into practical direction for design.

Location: Atlanta, GA
Intern Pay Range: The hourly base range for this position is $25.00/hr - $29.50/hr. Please note that this salary information serves as a general guideline. Honeywell considers various factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to the scope and responsibilities of the position, the candidate's work experience, education and training, key skills, as well as market and business considerations.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
- Be pursuing a Bachelor's or Masters degree related to human centered design (such as Human-Computer Interaction; Information Science; Digital Design; User Experience Design; etc.)
- Be graduating between December 2025 and May 2026
- Must continue enrollment in degree program upon completion of the internship
- Have portfolio of projects that demonstrates your designs, processes, and thinking.
- Validated academic excellence (3.0 GPA and higher)
WE VALUE
- Previous experience with design systems and product design
- Fluent with design sketching and prototyping tools, e.g., Figma, InVision, etc.
- Excellent collaboration and teamwork attitude.
- Experience with holistic UX analysis and alignment methods, such as experience mapping and persona development.
- Experience clearly documenting and communicating design decisions.
- Due to compliance with U.S. export control laws and regulations, candidate must be a U.S. citizen, U.S. permanent resident, or have asylum or refugee status in the U.S
