The Verification & Validation Engineer will test control software and hardware for the real-time control of turbomachinery. The Verification & Validation Engineer will be responsible for the testing, verification, validation, documenting and maintenance of control software and hardware. The Verification & Validation Engineer will be required to provide technical support to sales, execution, marketing, manufacturing, and quality organizations.

The Verification & Validation Engineer will exhibit genuine interest in solving work problems through proactively asking questions, clearly communicating, and collaborating both internally and externally to grow the business. In addition, the Verification & Validation Engineer is responsible for understanding our competition and customers and showing initiative to learn and continuously improve company processes and solutions.

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

* Develop test verification and validation procedures for control products and systems.
* Testing, verification and validation of the control products and systems for functionality, performance, reliability, and usability.
* Implement test automation.
* Provide technical support for both internal and external customers.
* Respond to change productively and handle other duties as required.
* Follow all company safety policies and procedures.

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE

* BS degree from an accredited institution in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, Systems Engineering or equivalent technical degree or equivalent experience.
* Working experience in Engineering, Commissioning or Testing of turbomachinery controls systems.
* Required experience in the IEC-61311 programming language.
* Required experience in the Human-Machine Interface (HMI), Open Platform Communications (OPC) and Local-area network (LAN).
* Preferred experience in PC programming (Batch files, Python Scripts Script or equal).
* Desired experience in the Test Automation Tools (Ranorex or equal).

KNOWLEDGE & SKILLS

* Knowledge of control theory and common industrial implementation.
* Ability to read, analyze, and interpret technical documentation and standards.
* Ability to write product requirements, functional specifications, and technical documentation.
* Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from both internal and external customers.
* Ability to read, speak, and write in English required.

The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.
