Technical Writer III / Advertising Copywriter
We are seeking an experienced, strategic Copywriter to join the Brand Innovation team. You’ll create custom campaigns for a wide range of Entertainment, Media, and Telecommunications brands, bringing to life innovative ad solutions that benefit the end customer while meeting client needs and pushing the creative envelope. You will be involved in all aspects of campaign development including concepting, client presentations, design/tech reviews, video script writing, and selecting external partners for creative production. In partnership with Brand Strategists, you will synthesize customer data to develop unique ideas that deliver on advertiser objectives, leveraging research and insights to create engaging experiences.

The Brand Innovation team works with brands and agencies to develop campaigns that engage consumers at multiple stages of the marketing journey, building brand awareness, relevance, consideration, acquisition, and loyalty. Our global creative team of storytellers and innovators includes strategists, creatives, design technologists, engineers, producers, and more, collaborating to create solutions customized to our advertisers goals. The Entertainment, Media, and Telecommunications team services the major entertainment studios, TV/streamers, toys, and telecommunications brands.
Key Responsibilities:
- Accountable for end-to-end creative development, from pitch to launch, on the most complex campaigns.
- Articulate creative concepts and rationale internally and externally through well-developed presentation skills.
- Address the client’s needs, even when ambiguous, through creative concepts and presentations.
- Steward the client’s brand tone and voice through every stage of campaign development.
- Produce original copy with great attention to narrative consistency, voice, and tone for all campaign deliverables.
- Endorse copy accuracy and style guides on all deliverables.
- Foster creative passion, curiosity, and excellence through discussion of emerging trends, new technologies, and industry best practices.
- Proactively build partnerships with internal teams and external stakeholders.
- Collaborate across disciplines with team members at all levels.
- Provide leadership, mentoring, and coaching to junior level creatives.
A Day in the Life: In this client-facing role, you will present to Director-level stakeholders, lead discussions to drive creative alignment, and make strategic trade-offs without compromising quality. You will coordinate complex marketing initiatives, leveraging your expertise in brand strategy, user experience, visual design, and tech to work independently across multiple opportunities. You will write scripts for Entertainment, Media, or Telecomm brands that sponsor content activations.
Must-Haves:
- Minimum of 6 years copywriting experience at advertising agencies and/or in-house creative departments.
- Must have an online portfolio URL in your resume, demonstrating copywriting and conceptual thinking skillset, as well as big campaign thinking that can extend into any medium.
- Strong understanding of digital and social platforms, as well as their use within marketing.
