About this role:

Consumer Technology is seeking a Lead Software Engineer to be part of our Business Rules Engine Team (CoBRRa).


In this role, you will:

  • Lead complex technology initiatives including those that are companywide with broad impact
  • Act as a key participant in developing standards and companywide best practices for engineering complex and large scale technology solutions for technology engineering disciplines
  • Design, code, test, debug, and document for projects and programs
  • Review and analyze complex, large-scale technology solutions for tactical and strategic business objectives, enterprise technological environment, and technical challenges that require in-depth evaluation of multiple factors, including intangibles or unprecedented technical factors
  • Make decisions in developing standard and companywide best practices for engineering and technology solutions requiring understanding of industry best practices and new technologies, influencing and leading technology team to meet deliverables and drive new initiatives
  • Collaborate and consult with key technical experts, senior technology team, and external industry groups to resolve complex technical issues and achieve goals
  • Lead projects, teams, or serve as a peer mentor
  • Collaborating with the product owner and other stakeholders to define and prioritize features
  • Ensuring the team adheres to best practices in software development, such as code reviews, testing, and continuous integration
  • Acting as a primary point of contact for the team, representing the team to external parties
  • Reviewing and approving pull requests, and providing feedback and guidance on code changes
  • Oversee the design and architecture of the software, making sure that the code is maintainable, scalable, and aligned with company's standard and guidelines


Required Qualifications:

  • 5+ years of Software Engineering experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education.
  • 5+ years of C#.NET experience
  • 2+ years of Angular experience

Desired Qualifications:

  • Experience in .Net Core or .Net 6
  • Experience with working on Business Rule Engine technology
  • Experience in cloud development technologies such as Kafka, Mongo DB and Kubernetes
  • Certification in Cloud Technology (e.g. AZ900)
  • 2+ years of experience with TypeScript
  • Experience in rules engine technology

Job Expectations:

  • Ability to work additional hours as needed
  • Ability to work outside of regular business hours

The Consumer Technology (C) group executes the Wells Fargo Technology strategy and offers a strategic technology perspective to the lines of business (LOBs) we support. These LOBs include Auto; Card, Retail & Merchant Services; Home Lending; and Personal Loans within Consumer Lending. Our teams provide technology solutions to the LOBs and manage the application portfolios through the enablers of skills, stability, security, scalability, speed, and satisfaction. We have an excellent opportunity for an experienced engineer to work in our Consumer Technology - Engineering Enablement team. The candidate will be actively engaged in architecture, design, and development of our Rules Platform. In this role, you will be building out both backend and frontend platform, implementing new tools, work on important and new modernization. This is an opportunity to produce immediate impact by leveraging your strengths and past experience while learning new things. Pay Range

Reflected is the base pay range offered for this position. Pay may vary depending on factors including but not limited to achievements, skills, experience, or work location. The range listed is just one component of the compensation package offered to candidates.

$111,100.00 - $197,500.00
