




About the Role: As the Technology Program Assistant, you’ll support the Technology Director in creating a learner-centered environment where youth can explore and express themselves through technology. You’ll design, deliver, and evaluate programs, exposing members to exciting technological experiences and opportunities.
Key Responsibilities:
- Program Support: Assist in designing and delivering creative technology projects. Ensure members can express themselves using technology in a supportive, learner-centered environment.
- Exposure Trips: Organize and participate in trips to locations like the Intel Computer Clubhouse, MIT Media Lab, and Museum of Science.
- Collaborative Programming: Work with staff from other BGCB clubs to create and participate in joint programming.
- Community Engagement: Participate in community-based initiatives and document experiences for reports and grants.
- Technical Support: Help maintain the LAN infrastructure and assist with technical support throughout the clubhouse. Set up and maintain hardware and software.
- Resource Management: Secure and maintain materials and equipment. Ensure the program area is safe and clean.
- Professional Development: Participate in individual and group supervision sessions and professional development opportunities.
- Impact Assessment: Engage in evaluation efforts to measure program impact, including annual member surveys.
- Travel: Travel between sites and to activities as needed.

Requirements:
- BA/BS preferred; equivalent experience considered.
- Experience developing and delivering technology programs to youth.
- Knowledge of project-based learning, web-based tools, and various technologies (e.g., design, animation, photography).
- CPR/FA certification (or willingness to obtain).
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Competency in MS Office and web tools; technical knowledge preferred.
- Ability to work with youth and families from diverse backgrounds.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Flexibility to work clubhouse hours as needed.
- Valid driver’s license preferred.
