PAR Systems is a world leader in the design and development cutting edge automation and control systems for Aerospace, Life Science, Nuclear, and Marine markets. We are seeking a Senior Controls Engineer who can use their past experience to create complex CNC and PLC programs, intuitive user interfaces and flexible software architectures for first-of-a-kind, large-scale machines.

We offer market competitive pay and benefits based upon the candidate’s skills, experience, qualifications, and internal equity. Our starting rate of pay for this salaried position is targeted at $110,000–130,000 annually.

* 7 or more years of experience writing complex CNC and PLC programs
* A BS in electrical engineering, physics, or a related discipline with significant coursework or experience in hardware and firmware development (e.g., embedded systems, microcontroller programming, or hardware design).
* Comfortable with operating and troubleshooting large-scale machines
* Proficiency in programming languages such as Python, VB.NET or C#
* Experience with robotics, automation and process control systems
* Strong working knowledge of analog and digital servo systems
* Agile software development methodologies
* Strong organizational and communications skills
* Up to 25% travel
* U.S. Person
Additional preferred experience includes:
* A master's degree in electrical engineering, physics, or a related discipline with significant coursework or experience in hardware and firmware development (e.g., embedded systems, microcontroller programming, or hardware design).
* Strong Siemens PLC experience, with a good understanding of the Siemens PLC Sinumerik toolbox, and NC/PLC/Drive communication protocols in the Sinumerik environment
* Strong Allen-Bradley PLC experience, with a good understanding of HMI development using Factory Talk View.
