The Senior Director of Supplier Development, Quality Assurance and ESG will lead efforts to build and manage a comprehensive supplier matrix for both domestic and international suppliers across beverage, food and non-food products. This role involves developing and implementing Private Brand strategies for supplier synergies, monitoring production milestones, and negotiating key production aspects of supplier agreements. The Sr. Director will also create and manage a Private Brand supplier scorecard system to evaluate and improve supplier performance and product specifications. Collaborates with the Quality Assurance (QA) team, leadership in ESG initiatives, and analysis of market trends.

What You'll Do:

Leadership and Team Development:
Build, mentor, and lead a high-performing team dedicated to Private Brand supplier development and management. Foster a collaborative environment and support professional growth within the team.

Supplier Matrix Development:
Develop and implement a comprehensive supplier matrix for domestic and international suppliers. Create strategies to enhance supplier synergies and develop contingency plans to manage potential disruptions.

Supplier Scorecard Development and Management:
Design and implement a supplier scorecard system to evaluate supplier performance on metrics such as quality, on time delivery, capacity commitments, production space utilization and service levels. Develop and execute action plans based on scorecard results to enhance performance and drive continuous improvement

Production Milestones Tracking:
Track and ensure adherence to key production milestones and schedules ensuring compliance with relevant industry regulations and company policies. Assess supplier performance of quality, lead time, production planning and adherence to schedules. Address any regulatory issues related to production space and work with legal teams to resolve them.

Quality Assurance Collaboration:
Work closely with the supplier QA team to qualify suppliers & ensure all products meet or exceed quality standards and specifications. Schedule and attend periodic production and specification verification.

ESG and Sustainable Sourcing Leadership:
Liaison with Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) team to implement initiatives to accelerate sustainability plans and uphold or enhance standards

Partnerships in Imports/Exports:
Lead and manage partnerships related to imports and exports, ensuring compliance with regulations and optimizing international trade operations

Product Quality Monitoring:
Oversee processes to monitor and confirm product quality throughout the development and production stages

What You'll Bring:

-Extensive experience in supplier management or a similar leadership role

-Detail oriented and passion for Quality Assurance (QA)

-Experience with creating or implementing Environmental, Social and Governance (ESG) roadmap

-Inspirational leadership, exceptional communication and interpersonal skills
-Ability to develop & drive strategic initiatives and work collaboratively with cross-functional teams

Requirements:

-Bachelor's degree preferably in Food Science & Technology
-12+ years of industry experience including 9+ years leading a team
-Industry and retail knowledge of development, business process and systems with focus in the Food & Beverage Industry
-Extensive experience in supplier management or a similar leadership role
-Knowledgeable of ESG best practices and ability to implement strategic roadmap
-Strong partnership skills with the ability to influence across broad organization
-Effective organizational, planning & time management skills.
-Strong strategic, financial merchandise planning & analytical skills
-Passion to protect & grow the Private Brands portfolio
-Logistics and merchandising experience is a plus
-Expert proficiency of Microsoft Office
-Ability to travel 30%
